Jona Sargent, MBA

Jona Sargent is a goal-driven leader committed to developing outcomes mutually benefiting the company and the customer in a Special Investigations Operation at State Farm.

She currently serves on the board of LIFE/Houston, whose mission is to provide families with infant formula through their "Food for Hungry Babies" program. Jona also serves as the Volunteer Chair and Culinary Arts Coordinator for the NAACP Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) competition for youth. Her commitment toward our community and our youth is evident through the contribution of funds to support scholarships for youth through her community service work and the State Farm Good Neighbor Grant program.

As an active member of the Houston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., she served as the Chair of One of Delta Plaza Educational Center, Inc. 

In 2011, Jona was awarded the Diversity First Award “for her commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace and in the business community.” 

A native Houstonian, Jona earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She and her husband, Jay, have two adult daughters.
