Principal Officers and Board of Trustees – Achievement through Leadership Foundation 

 

Ken C. Glover was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Achievement Through Leadership Foundation, Inc. in January 2015, and serves on the foundation’s finance committee. Mr. Glover is currently serving a tour of duty with the United States Treasury Department. He is also the Managing Director of The Carwin Realty Group, LLC., a real estate investment company and Co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Retirement Asset Management Group. From 2009-2010, he was a manager with a boutique travel consulting firm. From 2006-2009, Ken was an Investment Analyst with the Ameriprise financial services firm. From 2005-2006, he was affiliated with the Global Wealth Management division of the investment bank Morgan Stanley as a Wealth Management Associate. From 1997-2005, Ken served in the positions of Director of Human resources-Financial Projects (2005), Director of Internal Audit (2002-2004), and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (1997-2002), with Kinder Morgan, Inc.. Prior to this, from 1993-1996, he served as a Financial Planning Specialist for Enron Liquid Services Corp, a wholly owned subsidiary of Enron Corp., and from 1991-1992, as an Acquisition Analyst with the Enron Liquid Fuels Company. Ken began his finance and accounting career with the Exxon Corporation.

 

Mr. Glover is a Certified Fraud Examiner with advanced training in forensic accounting techniques (Forensic CPA). He holds the Group 1 insurance and Certified Public Accountant Licenses in the state of Texas, as well as Series 7 - General Securities Representative and Series 66 – Investment Advisor Representative Licenses with FINRA. Ken has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southern University-Baton Rouge, and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He also has a certificate in Financial Management from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business, Rice University, and a certificate in Advanced MBA studies from the A.B. Freeman Graduate School of Business, Tulane University. Mr. Glover is a member of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, the International Association of Financial Engineers, and the Society of Forensic Accountants. Prior to his entering the finance and accounting professions, Ken was an accomplished classical trumpet player in the Los Angeles area of California. Ken attends the Fort Bend Church in Sugar Land, Texas where he also resides.
